saving kittens where there are rats. hoyne st, rosco village, chicago.

this was a catch and release.

we heard him screaming from upstairs next door and after a while decided to investigate. the kitten was stuck in the stairwell.

we had a good band of ferals in our yard. they lived in the garage which they accessed through a cat sized hole (which, ironicly, was probebly started by rats). the garage stunk of dead things and garbage and i imagined the inside as a boneyard for so many pompous and cockey northside rats. we dont have rats in my neighborhood, we have serious cats. for lack of rats they chase squirrels.

the stairwell belonged to some young tough guy cops... they were probably eating the other three (kittens)for dinner when we swooped in for Lil' Malcolm here..

i had a drum set there... third floor.
